Stage 1
Stage 2
We’ll carry our detailed planning based on the outcome of your initial assessment. All costs will be explained and we only proceed when you are totally happy with the plan.
Stage 3
Any necessary surgical actions can be taken, like bone augmentation and the implants can be placed.
Stage 4
We now need to wait for the healing to occur and for the implants to fully osseo-integrate with your mouth. This takes 3-6 months.
Stage 5
This is the exciting part. We can then go ahead and make your new teeth. Either fixed crowns or bridges or a secure removeable dentures, depending on your needs.

Why Do Dental Implant Costs Vary?
The cost of dental implants is influenced by several factors, including:
🔹 The number of missing teeth – A single implant costs less than full-mouth reconstruction.
🔹 The complexity of treatment – Some patients may need bone grafting to improve implant stability.
🔹 The type of restoration – Crowns, bridges, or implant-supported dentures have different price points.
🔹 Technology & expertise – Our clinic invests in cutting-edge dental technology, ensuring precise placement and long-term success.
Are Dental Implants Worth the Investment?
Absolutely. Dental implants are the closest alternative to natural teeth, offering unparalleled function, durability, and aesthetics. Unlike traditional dentures or bridges, implants:
✔ Prevent bone loss by stimulating the jawbone
✔ Offer long-term value, lasting decades with proper care
✔ Restore full chewing ability, so you can enjoy your favorite foods
✔ Enhance confidence with a natural-looking smile
At Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we are committed to exceptional patient care and ensuring your treatment delivers life-changing results. If you’re considering dental implants, we recommend booking a free consultation to assess your needs and provide a personalized treatment plan.
Dental implants are designed to be a long-term, often lifelong solution for replacing missing teeth. When properly cared for, implants can last decades, making them one of the most durable and effective tooth replacement options available. At Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we ensure that each implant is placed with precision and expertise, maximizing longevity and function.
What Affects the Lifespan of Dental Implants?
While implants have the potential to last a lifetime, their longevity depends on several factors:
✔ Oral Hygiene – Just like natural teeth, implants require regular brushing, flossing, and professional cleanings. Poor oral hygiene can lead to peri-implantitis (a gum infection around the implant), which can cause implant failure.
✔ Bone Health – Dental implants need strong, healthy jawbone for stability. Patients with bone loss may require bone grafting before implant placement to ensure long-term success.
✔ Lifestyle Choices – Smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can increase the risk of implant failure by slowing down healing and increasing the likelihood of gum disease.
✔ Bite Forces & Grinding (Bruxism) – Excessive grinding or clenching of teeth can place too much pressure on implants, potentially leading to complications. Patients who grind their teeth may benefit from a custom night guard to protect their implants.
✔ Regular Dental Check-Ups – Visiting your dentist for routine exams ensures early detection of any potential issues, helping to prolong the life of your implants.
How Long Do Different Parts of the Implant Last?
A dental implant consists of three main components:
🔹 Titanium Implant (Screw) – Fused with the jawbone, this part is designed to last a lifetime with proper care.
🔹 Abutment (Connector Piece) – Typically lasts several decades but may require replacement due to wear.
🔹 Crown, Bridge, or Denture – The visible tooth restoration may last 10-15 years, depending on material quality and oral hygiene.
Why Are Dental Implants the Best Long-Term Solution?
✔ Stronger & More Stable than traditional dentures and bridges
✔ Preserve Jawbone Health, preventing the bone loss that occurs with missing teeth
✔ No Need for Replacement like dentures, which may need to be refitted every 5-10 years
✔ Look & Function Like Natural Teeth, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile confidently
At Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we use high-quality materials and advanced technology to ensure your implants last as long as possible. With proper care and expert placement, your dental implants could last a lifetime.
Many people search for free dental implants, hoping to find an affordable solution for replacing missing teeth. However, dental implants are not available for free in the UK, and the NHS does not routinely cover implant treatment. Dental implants are considered a private treatment, as they are viewed as a cosmetic and restorative solution rather than a medical necessity.
Why Doesn’t the NHS Cover Dental Implants?
The NHS only provides dental treatments that are deemed clinically necessary, such as fillings, extractions, and dentures. Implants are not typically funded because alternative options, such as traditional dentures or bridges, are available at a lower cost.
In rare cases, the NHS may provide dental implants only for patients with severe medical conditions, such as:
✔ Mouth cancer survivors who have lost teeth due to treatment
✔ Severe facial trauma that has resulted in missing teeth
✔ Genetic conditions causing tooth loss (e.g., hypodontia)
For most people, dental implants are only available through private treatment, which means covering the cost yourself.
Why Dental Implants Are a Worthwhile Investment
Although dental implants are not free, they are an investment in your long-term oral health and confidence. Here’s why they’re worth it:
✔ Permanent Solution – Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are designed to last decades or even a lifetime with proper care.
✔ Improved Functionality – Dental implants allow you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence, just like natural teeth.
✔ Protects Bone & Facial Structure – Missing teeth cause jawbone loss over time. Implants preserve your bone density and facial appearance.
✔ No More Denture Worries – No slipping, discomfort, or need for adhesives. Enjoy a secure, natural-feeling smile.
Making Dental Implants Affordable
At Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we understand that cost can be a concern, which is why we provide high-quality, expert implant treatment tailored to your needs. While implants require an upfront investment, they save money in the long run by reducing the need for future replacements and dental issues.
One of the most common concerns patients have about dental implants is whether the procedure is painful. The good news is that dental implant treatment is not as painful as many people expect. At Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we ensure your comfort throughout the entire process, using advanced techniques and local anaesthetic to minimize any discomfort.
What to Expect During the Procedure
✔ Local Anaesthetic for Pain-Free Treatment – Before placing the implant, we use a strong local anaesthetic to completely numb the area. This means you won’t feel any pain during the procedure—just mild pressure or vibrations.
✔ Gentle & Precise Implant Placement – Our skilled team ensures that the implant is placed quickly and efficiently, reducing any potential discomfort.
✔ Post-Treatment Sensations – After the anaesthetic wears off, you may experience mild soreness or swelling, similar to having a tooth extraction. This can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relief, such as ibuprofen or paracetamol.
Is Recovery Painful?
Most patients report that implant recovery is much easier than expected. Any discomfort is temporary and manageable. Here’s what to expect:
✔ Swelling & Mild Tenderness – Typically lasts a few days and gradually subsides.
✔ Pain Relief – Simple painkillers are usually enough to keep you comfortable.
✔ Healing Time – The gum tissue heals within a few weeks, while the implant fully integrates with the bone over 3-6 months.
What About Multiple Implants?
Even if you need multiple implants or full-arch restorations, the process remains comfortable and well-managed. Some patients opt for sedation dentistry to feel more relaxed during treatment—this can be discussed during your implant consultation.
Why Choose Dental Implants?
Although the idea of surgery can seem daunting, dental implants are a long-term solution that offers life-changing benefits:
✔ Restores full chewing ability – Eat all your favourite foods without worry.
✔ Preserves jawbone health – Prevents bone loss and maintains facial structure.
✔ Feels and looks completely natural – No slipping or discomfort like traditional dentures.
At Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we prioritize gentle, expert care to ensure a comfortable and smooth experience from start to finish. If you’re considering implants but have concerns about pain, our friendly team is happy to answer any questions and guide you through the process.
The dental implant process varies depending on the complexity of the case, but at Solihull Dental Centre & Implant Clinic, we ensure every procedure is carried out with precision, expertise, and patient comfort in mind.
The Dental Implant Procedure Timeline
✔ Initial Consultation – 30 to 60 minutes
Every dental implant journey begins with a detailed consultation, where we assess your oral health, bone structure, and treatment needs. This may include X-rays or 3D scans to create a customized treatment plan.
✔ Implant Placement – 60 to 90 minutes per implant
During the implant placement appointment, we use local anaesthetic to ensure a pain-free experience. The number of implants placed will affect the total procedure time.
✔ Healing & Osseointegration – 3 to 6 months
After implant placement, the bone fuses with the implant in a process called osseointegration. This typically takes 3 to 6 months, ensuring the implant is fully secure before the final restoration.
✔ Abutment & Crown Placement – 30 to 60 minutes
Once the implant has integrated with the bone, a small connector (abutment) is attached, followed by a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture. This final step restores function and aesthetics, completing your natural-looking smile.
Can Dental Implants Be Done in a Single Day?
Yes! Some patients may be suitable for same-day implants (Teeth in a Day), where the implant and temporary restoration are placed on the same day. However, not everyone is a candidate—bone quality and overall oral health determine eligibility.
Why Choose Dental Implants?
✔ A permanent, long-term solution to missing teeth
